I’m getting vacation time in September and I want to take a week off and just get away from everything… SO… where is a nice place to go, for not a lot of money, (preferably with a beach but not a necessity) and just have a great time?? I’m not the type of person to care about site seeing too much… especially for this vacaton.

I’ve got a week of paid vacation time coming up in July and I’d really like to get out of my Midwestern town. I’m on a little bit of a budget, although I’m welcome to all kinds of suggestions!

I’m a single male in my 20′s, I’m working my first real job and I have two weeks of vacation time which I’d like to use sometime during the summer. Unfortunately, all my friends are busy or are unemployed and too poor to go anywhere or do anything. I want to go someplace new and exotic, but if I do, I’ll be going alone. Where should I go and what should I do?

All I know is that I’m passionate about travel and would love to explore the world. However, I’m not sure whether a career in travel would turn out to be a positive option.
Is it better to travel on the job and work during the travels (such as a travel journalist), or simply have a well-paying job which will enable me to travel on vacation time?

If you find a career in travel to be fulfilling, do you have any job suggestions?
